What's Not
The terrible gameplay

No es bueno! What the hell happened to Asphalt Urban GT 2? The Senor was under the impression that Gameloft had given him the sweet 3D version, but this 2D one does not suffice! Do not play it! Stay indoors! Stand clear of the blast doors! Abort!

Ok, so Asphalt Urban GT 2 is a racing game where you select eight high-powered muscle cars or two bikes made by such manufacturers as Nissan, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Volkswagen, or Kawasaki, among other companies, and then hit the road and race on one of several tracks that are supposed to mirror Los Angeles, New York City, London, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Hong Kong, Paris, and my own personal favorite (or not), Baghdad. The game features an Instant Play mode where you can just hop right into a race and Arcade, which takes things to the next level by allowing you to compete to earn money which can then be used to purchase new rides and tracks. And everything's controlled using either the directional arrows or a phone's keypad, so steering with 4 and 6 or left and right is easy on the hands.

The problem is this game's a total mess. Since there's no brake and lots of twists it's almost impossible to stay on the road, and the developers decided to go with this strange Super Nintendo Mode 7 effect where the track scrolls by, except this is pretty basic 2D, as in all of the houses are just straight up blocks. Ooh! See that gray blob! It's Parliament! Ok, so that's en exaggeration, but I kid you not about the solid gray buildings. They exist!

I understand that certain phones just aren't capable of advanced graphics, but I strongly urge you to stay away from Asphalt Urban GT 2. Well...at least stay away from the simplistic 2D version. The 3D game, on the other hand, is excellent and worth downloading, especially since it features online play.
