Fruit Ninja Next Mobile Game To Receive Comic Book Treatment
Ape Entertainment is busy. Yesterday, we posted news of the company inking a deal to create comic books based on the popular iOS and Android game, Temple Run. Now comes word that it also partnered with Halfbrick Studios to do the same exact thing to Fruit Ninja, the big-time mobile hit that's been downloaded over 300 million times.

"A key goal for Halfbrick is to bring our content to even more fans around the world," says Halfbrick's Chief Marketing Officer, Phil Larsen. "By expanding the Fruit Ninja universe with new stories, characters and adventures, Halfbrick and Ape Comics are free to explore an unlimited number of creative opportunities for comics and take the brand in even more exciting directions."
Wait, there's more.
"Fruit Ninja is a mobile masterwork and we're very excited to turn every slice of juiciness into a comic series fans will love," said David Hedgecock, CEO of Ape Entertainment.
Apparently, the series will explore the untold backstory of the Fruit Ninja universe, most likely involving the sensei and new characters added in the previous update. Seems a bit farfetched, but we look forward to checking out the digital comic books and graphic novels (you'll also find them in print) in the months ahead.
