The Simpsons: Tapped Out Released For Android

Finally. After months of speculation, Electronic Arts brought The Simpsons: Tapped Out to Android. The game quickly grew in popularity on the App Store in 2012, amassing 3.2 million daily users at one point. Now it's available on more than 1,600 Android-powered devices worldwide.

"Working collaboratively with The Simpsons team is an incredibly fun and creative experience," said Aaron Loeb, Group GM of EA All Play's California and Bight Studios. "It's particularly exciting for us to bring The Simpsons: Tapped Out to Google Play for the first time and introduce a new audience of Android consumers to one of EA's most successful and engaging mobile games."

Developed with The Simpsons' writers, producers and animators, this addictive title challenges players to rebuild Springfield after Homer manages to destroy the iconic town. This involves interacting with characters and completing a variety of quests. Along the way, they'll run into the likes of Marge, Lisa and Ned Flanders, then place a variety of buildings throughout Springfield, including the Kwik-E-Mart.

At the moment, the Android version won't let players visit friends' Springfields, nor can they save across multiple devices. We'll let you know when or if this changes.
