Apple Ends 2012 With A Record Quarter
Money-printing super-corporation Apple had a very happy Christmas indeed, having sold 47.8 million iPhones, 22.9 million iPads, 4.1 million Macs and a comparatively "disappointing" 2 million Apple TVs in the final quarter of 2012 (thanks, Eurogamer).
In case you were wondering, that amounts to approximately $13.1 billion in profit for the tech giant. Yes, that's profit - not revenue - and brings Apple's cash reserves to an estimated $137.1 billion in total.

Apple's financial update also revealed that more than 40 billion apps have been download to date, with developers collectively receiving a pretty impressive $7 billion in revenue. There are now almost 300,000 native iPad apps available from the store.
