Cut The Rope's Om Nom Celebrates The Hobbit Oscar Nominations

Yesterday, Cut the Rope developer ZeptoLab posted a picture of the game's mascot, Om Nom, dressed as Bilbo Baggins from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on its Twitter page. With a promise to reveal more info January 23, fans and even select members of the press drooled over the concept of a new Lord of the Rings/Cut the Rope puzzle game, but such a title won't appear on iOS and Android.

Turns out, the image was created to celebrate The Hobbit's Oscar nominations, which it picked up for makeup, production design and visual effects. In fact, ZeptoLab followed up the announcement with a picture of Om Nom holding a chocolate Oscar trophy.

In short, nothing to see here.
