iPhone Games Top 100 - July 28, 2008

iPhone App Store game sales spotlight. Follow all the ups & downs...

Apple's iPhone App Store continues to be a tremendously impressive RPU win for both Apple & AT&T. But what about the game publishers themselves? Now that the store's shiny fresh launch is behind it, let's take a look at how the top 100 games have changed between this week compared to last:

Little drama in the top 10. Apple itself managed to hold onto the top spot, despite plenty of other poker competition from developers large and small. Majic Software's Chopper rose eight spots to claim a top 10 rank, while EA's Scrabble dipped from ninth to 19th.

Outside of the top 10, Loney Star Software's anagram word puzzler Muddled was the biggest gainer, climbing 53 spots to #35. The biggest drops came courtesy of two indie Sudoku titles. Satori Sudoku from Kevin Kozan dropped 50 slots to #90, while Trivial Sudoku dropped out of the top 100 entirely, despite coming in at #31 on last week's charts.

Twelve titles that launched last week debuted in the top 100, with the biggest winner being Kidnea Bean's Hangman Sim, which managed an impressive #10 debut. Other new titles include The Way's 300 Bowl at #17, 3monkeys.com's DoubleDrop at #44, and Alexandre Minard's MinesManiak at #68.
