Familiar faces, new games
Konami didn't skimp on handheld titles at the latest Gamer's Night event. Along with a number of big Wii, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 releases, they also showcased some interesting portable IPs.
Hellboy: The Science of Evil heralds the long-awaited coming of the red-skinned hero on home consoles. The PSP version fuses action, horror and the series' trademark humor to create an experience that's true to the comics. Hellboy will have a variety of powers at his disposal including his right hand of doom, and the environment itself can also be utilized in a number of creative and destructive ways.
New International Track and Field marks the return of the classic button-mashing series on its 25th anniversary. The game is said to take full advantage of the DS' touch-screen and stylus capabilities (hopefully, in a way that doesn't involve bashing the pen against the screen), and will feature a full-fledged online mode that includes head-to-head competition and online rankings and scoreboards.
