GoPets Now Available at Retail

Konami's take on the popular Korean virtual pets series, GoPets, has now hit store shelves across North America at $29.99. Similar to Neopets, players customize their own GoPets and then take them online to interact with other strange creatures from other (often equally strange) people.
Besides just traveling and visiting other pets, players can also compete in mini-games and host parties for up to eight players. Customization options will be broad with everything from dresses to hats being available for those who care not for their pet's dignity. Downloadable items will be available at DS Download Stations and items can be traded across games to net players special shells that act like money for them to buy additional items on their own game.
