Diary Girl Now Available on the Nintendo DS

Child predators rejoice!

Konami's Diary Girl has shipped to retail stores nation wide.

The game (or non-game as some likes to call it) gives gamers a calendar, address book and journal to write in. All the content will be password-protected, of course. Nosy siblings be damned!

Diary Girl also allows gamers the ability to create their own unique avatar and voice-chat over Wi-fi. Oh, I almost forgot: the game will include several mini-games like mazes, jig-saw puzzles and personality quizzes.

"The Diary Girl package gives young gamers an organizational tool, mini-games, and a social interactive component, all on their personal DS handheld system," said Rozita Tolouey, Director of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "Kids increasingly crave games with a social networking aspect and Konami is dedicated to giving them that and more with this new title."

It makes me wonder why Konami would limit their audience by calling it Diary Girl. My Dairy or something similar would have been a better choice for the title.

Nevertheless, Diary Girl is out now on the Nintendo DS for a MSRP of $29.99.
