Nintendo Wins Take Two Interactive Achievement Award
Written by Lance Wang on Friday, February 8, 2008
It takes two.
Nintendo took away the honors for handheld game of the year with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and adventure game of the year with Super Mario Galaxy. Both games have already sold quite well with Phantom Hourglass at 1.1 million units and Super Mario Galaxy at 2.5 million.
Nintendo also received nine nominations in eight different gaming categories, so it looks like they had a Titantic/Lord of the Rings affair for the night. The awards show took place just yesterday at the Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain conference in Las Vegas.
First an emmy, now this. Nintendo's gotta have some happy PR staff right now.
