Atlus Releases Drone Tactics Trailer

Huge insect mechs. Yes.
Atlus has just released a trailer of their new turn-based strategy game, Drone Tactics. The short teaser video shows off a number of the game's key features including the ability to create your own army of customizable insect mechs and competitive online play. The trailer primarily shows off the game's 3D battle scenes, which take place one-on-one after two drones have engaged one another on the overworld. The overworld/strategy sections themselves are 2D and use the isometric, overhead view that has become such a staple of the strategy RPG genre.
Having not done a hands-on preview myself, it's hard to say how the game plays at the moment -- especially given the brevity of the trailer -- but it's a strategy game from Atlus, so I think you can expect it to be solid at the very least. Being able to create your army as opposed to recruiting them adds a nice twist on the usual genre formula and being able to upgrade/personalize them as you go will hopefully allow sentimental generals to keep their early babies well into the later hours of the game. .
The 25th of March is when strategy fans will want to throw their commander's hats back on.
