Ubisoft Announces The Settlers

Manage a colony on the Nintendo DS
Ubisoft announced today a new title for the Nintendo DS, called The Settlers. Developed by Blue Byte, players are given the task of managing a colony through two different campaigns; Roman, and World Campaign.
After choosing one of four different factions (Roman, Viking, Nubian, or Asian), players will set out to establish a colony through the use of 30 assignable jobs and 6 soldier types. A free mode gameplay option will also be available for quick matches against computer controlled characters.
The Settlers for the Nintendo DS is currently set for a Q4 2006 release in European, Middle Eastern, and Asian regions, with no mention of a possible North American release. We'll keep an eye on it for you, so stay tuned for further updates.
