WWII turn-based strategy warfare on the DS
Previously announced at last month's E3, publisher CDV Software Entertainment released an assortment of new screenshots today for its upcoming Nintendo DS title, Panzer Tactics DS.
A WWII turn-based strategy wargame, players take to a hex-based grid map and command a variety of real-world units on historical battlefields. The game will offer both multi and single player gameplay modes, including a Campaign mode where players can choose Germany, Russia, or Western Allies to fight through 30 different missions, leading to a grand showdown against a powerful enemy army.
The multiplayer mode will support up to four players via Nintendo Wi-Fi or DS wireless mode, and feature 10 different maps with 14 varied terrain types.
Panzer Tactics DS is currently scheduled to arrive in stores sometime Q4 2006, so stay tuned for more updates.
