First Look: Battle B-Daman

Fans of the show can kick some B-DaAss on the GBA

Fans of the animated TV series Battle B-Daman can extend a gracious "thank you" to Atlus, as the company announced its plans earlier last week to bring the two GBA titles based on the series over to North America.

Simply titled Battle B-Daman and Battle B-Daman 2, the games will feature many of the colourful characters and storylines of the TV show, capitalizing on the unique gameplay of B-Daman itself.

For those who haven't seen the show, it follows the exploits of a young enthusiast named Yamato Delgado, who has been chosen to wield the Cobalt Blade, the most powerful B-Daman ever, and compete in the B-Daman tournament. By winning games, Yamato hopes to defeat the evil B-Daplayers of the Shadow Alliance, who will stop at nothing to take over the B-DaWorld.

Players can look forward to three different modes of play, including Battle, Custom, and Adventure, with over a dozen battlefields and 18 selectable characters to choose from. A multiplayer option will also be available for those who can link up their GBA systems.

Look for Battle B-Daman on the GBA this summer, followed by Battle B-Daman 2 later in the fall. Expect more impressions before each respective release date, so check back soon.
