E3 2006: Chibi-Robo hitting that DS

The tiny robot just got smaller! Media within...

The last time we saw Chibi-Robo, it was on the GameCube and the diminutive hero was restoring happiness to the Sanderson home. But in his new DS sequel, things are changing; things are changing a great deal! And by great, I mean great outdoors.

That's right, no longer confined to the household, Chibi-Robo is taking his quest of helpfulness to the playgrounds and the parks. Turns out some equipment in the park is disappearing, and a variety of flower arrangements have gone awry, transformed by some form of fiendish evil doer.

This time around, Chibi-Robo gets to flex his mechanical muscles in new and interesting ways. He rides buggies, cars and boats across lawns and ponds, fights mysterious enemies with his trusty squirter, dances in the park to give life to the plants, and builds playground equipment to make the park a better place.

Currently, Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol for the DS has been fitted with a TBA release date, though oddly enough, the game will apparently support 2 players.

More as it happens.
