Nintendo Touts Nintendogs Numbers

Nintendo of America is citing record-breaking sales for their newly-released puppy simulator, Nintendogs. Based on sales tracking, Nintendo has estimated that almost 15% of DS owners have purchased Nintendogs since its release last week.
Nintendo of America's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime, stated: "[Nintendogs is] helping sell new DS hardware. Coupled with a price drop to $129.99, retailers are reporting DS sales up between one and a half and three times previous levels, and last week DS comfortably outsold our portable competitors."
