New Media: Sonic Rush

A true return to form, it seems
The official Japanese website for the upcoming Nintendo DS title, Sonic Rush, was updated today, revealing a slew of new screenshots.
The title marks the first entry for the blue hedgehog on Nintendo's new handheld platform, combining both 2D and 3D graphics for a uniquely different spin on the popular franchise.
Sonic and his familiar group of friends are expected to once again make a return, though the latest update on the official website gives further mention of the new character. A mysterious feline named Blaze, she can be seen in the various silhouettes scattered about the different pages of the site.
Sonic Rush for the Nintendo DS is currently on course for a Fall release in North America later this year.
