E3 2005: New DS Titles Revealed

Three new titles straight from Nintendo

Nintendo's E3 press conference held today revealed a few new games in development for the Nintendo DS. Listed in its 2005 software lineup were titles Mario & Luigi 2, New Super Mario Bros., and Trace Memory.

Mario & Luigi 2 will be the sequel to the much acclaimed Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga available on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. The title is likely to feature similar RPG qualities with a strong emphasis on the combined teamwork of both Mario and his brother Luigi.

New Super Mario Bros. for the DS is essentially a classic representation of the older Super Mario Bros. titles, only overhauled with new level designs and 3D elements.

Little is known about Trace Memory, other than it will "unfold like an interactive mystery adventure novel."

Though specific details on all three titles are scarce at the moment, you can be sure to see more revealed in the next little while as E3 continues on.
