Producer Tetsuya Nomura allows us a few more bits of information
Japanese publication Dori Maga recently had a chance to sit down with Square Enix Producer Tetsuya Nomura for a brief interview on his upcoming projects. Though the much anticipated PlayStation 2 release Kingdom Hearts 2 was the Producer's main focus, he also mentioned a few new details regarding some of the company's mobile titles currently in development.
On the subject of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the Sony PSP, Nomura commented, "I've drawn the art. We're planning an interesting, previously unseen gameplay system. We announced [Crisis Core] as an action RPG, but I think it will end up as something that exceeds everyone's expectations. I personally want to get my hands on it quickly."
To those who are following the periodically releasing story chapters of Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII, currently available on mobile phones in Japan, the Producer mentions, "We plan to increase the player characters by two. The story is heating up as the climax approaches, so please stick with us for a bit more."
As a final bit of information, Nomura offers to shed a little light on the upcoming UMD/DVD movie release, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. "We've kept you waiting, but we should be able to announce a number of things soon. Please look forward to it."
You can expect to see a number of further announcements made on all of these titles as we get closer to E3, so stayed tuned to Modojo for all the latest information.
