UK Gamers Embrace the DS

And Nintendo Loves Them Back
Nintendo of Europe has announced that the Nintendo DS has enjoyed strong sales in the UK. Since its release on March 11, the DS has sold over 200,000 units, led by brisk software sales, notably Super Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware Touched!
General Manager of Nintendo UK, David Yarnton, stated "The launch of Nintendo DS in the UK continues to be an unprecedented success; Gamers new and old have embraced the Nintendo DS and have left no doubt that it is the new must have handheld console! Nintendo set out to create a new way of hand-held gaming, offering an innovative and enjoyable experience and with the new Nintendo DS, and we have certainly accomplished this."
The handheld has also garnered numerous awards, and is available in the UK for about 29 pounds, with software ranging between 19 and 29 pounds.
