Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Interview

Sam Fisher in his most visually-impressive handheld outing

One of the most anticipated upcoming N-Gage games--Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory--has gone gold and is set to hit the platform within the next few days. N-Gage.com has conducted an interview with Gameloft producer, Manuel Figeac, about the 3D action/stealth title:

N-Gage.com: Is the premise [of the N-Gage version] the same as the console and PC versions of Chaos Theory?
Figeac: Yes, exactly. The game follows the same storyline, although all the levels are exclusive to the N-Gage platform.

N-Gage.com: So tell us about these levels, please. And what are the coolest features of this N-Gage version?
Figeac: OK, for one, this is the first real 3D Splinter Cell on a handheld device. For the first time, gamers will be able to immerse themselves totally in the Tom Clancy universe of Splinter Cell anywhere they want play. Also, the game has outstanding graphics and animations, with all of Sam Fisher's signature moves.

N-Gage.com: Such as?
Figeac: Split jumping, using enemies as human shields, shooting while hanging by the legs, you name it.

N-Gage.com: Very cool!
Figeac: And the N-Gage version has multiplayer support, too.

N-Gage.com:Let's talk a bit about that. How will Chaos Theory users take advantage of the Bluetooth and N-Gage Arena features?
Figeac: Via Bluetooth, players will be able to compete with each others in the widely-acclaimed "Spy vs. Mercenaries" mode, or play N-Gage exclusive levels with each other in cooperative mode.

On the N-Gage Arena, you will be able to upload your scores -- in each mission -- to get your worldwide ranking. And you can download the replays from the best players to understand how they achieved their high scores.
