My Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Review by LusterPurge94

The Super Mario series needs no introduction. It is perhaps the most well-known video game franchise in the entire world. If Nintendo hadn't brought the stock market back to home consoles with its star game, Super Mario Bros., the world of video games could be entirely different today.

Now, almost 25 years after the first Mario game came out, Mario has appeared in countless games.

One of those games is *Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga* for the Gameboy Advance. I got that game for my 12th birthday and I still play it. I think it's a great game, and I'm about to explain why.

Okay. One of the most classic Mario games was *Super Mario RPG* for the SNES in 1996. I haven't played it, but I've heard from variuos sources that it is a very popular game.

M&L:SS is like Super Mario RPG, only slightly more advanced. It has a similar storyline, which involves Bowser and Bowser ending up helping Mario at some point, and there is a bigger villain who overpoers Bowser. This game is an RPG, and a pretty good one.

With a number of great game secrets, techniques, places, characters, and a beautiful soundtrack, this game is fun to play. It has an intriguing storyline (I'm not going to spoil it for you) that really sucks you in. Sometimes, the way to complete a certain objective is not straightforward - sometimes you must complete a challenging, yet fun, puzzle.

There are some Bosses that you may spend hours trying and trying again to defeat (this game is loaded with those), but that's what makes it so great - the prospect to keep trying. And some Bosses are ones you've faced before (there's one that you have to battle four different times, and he gets harder each time).

In this game, you aren't in the Mushroom Kingdom - Mario and Luigi journey over to the Beanbean Kingdom (Mushroom Kingdom's neighboring country) to chase down a thief who stole Princess Peach's voice, which leads to a bigger plot that, just when you think it's over, twists and reveals that there is more. Throughout, you explore the vast reaches of Beanbean Kingdom, which has a wide balance of challenges, places, and annoying characters.

All in all, this game is excellent, but I am slightly disappointed by one thing- no 2-player option. Not that I have a Wireless Adapter or friends who have a GBA, but it's not that big of a deal.
