A popular PC franchise, The Settlers allows the player to explore a real-time strategy setting while embarking on either conquest or peaceful coexistence. Players don't necessarily need to wage war with the opponents, but can also create peaceful agricultural societies. The DS iteration of the franchise adds touchscreen control to the mix, allowing the player to control his soldiers and laborers with the stylus.

Two different campaigns are available, the Roman and World campaigns, which features four historical factions of characters, the Roman, Viking, Nubian or Asian societies.
