when filling in a puzzle, tap options to bring up the menu. while the menu is open, the clock will stop.rnalthough the menu covers the bottom screen, the top screen will still be totally visible. you won''t be able to fill in any numbers while the menu is open, but you can still figure out the puzzle. you could even copy the puzzle down, figure it out on paper, and then return to the DS and just fill in the numbers.
