9. Trenches II
Destroy the enemy base as either the British, Germans or French in this addictive real-time strategy game. Move units into position, avoid barbed wire and compete online.
8. Mirror's Edge
As the saying goes, "an oldie, but a goodie." Guide Faith through a myriad of stages, sliding underneath objects and making death defying leaps in her effort to stick it to the man. Based on the Xbox 360 and PS3 title.
7. Spy Mouse
Agent Squeak needs to collect all the cheese from a bunch of evil felines in this simple to play but challenging line drawing game. Do your best to slip by undetected, using mouse holes to make quick escapes.
6. Max and the Magic Marker

Definitely the greatest football experience for both iPhone and iPad. Sharp and detailed graphics (stadiums look sweet), the full NFL license, the ability to draw routes on the touch screen and plenty of modes to enjoy. The perfect couch companion.
3. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
Impressive take on the hit console racer, letting you evade the law in a series of expensive vehicles, or bring down street scum while inside a tricked out police car. Without question one of the best iOS driving games.
2. NBA Jam HD
Boomshakalaka! Rattle the rim and drain the three in this outstanding port of the console game, complete with high-flying dunks, epic shots and blocks. Just remember to wag the finger afterwards, Dikembe style.

The survival horror series made quite an impact on iOS, with creepy corridors filled with terrifying Necromorphs. Remember to chop off their limbs.
