Mobile Gaming: A Hardcore Gamer's Guide Pt. 2

This time we examine six games made with hardcore gamers in mind...
Last week in part 1 I examined three common misconceptions hardcore gamers have about mobile games. If you're someone that still believes mobile games are only for casual players, have poor control schemes, or don't work on anything but the newest, most expensive phones, you should probably start there first.
If you're reading this, I'm going to assume that you're one of the growing number of enlightened, and are prepared to give mobile a fair chance. No one expects cell phone gaming to replace the time hardcore gamers spend with their DS or PSP. If I'm able to convince you of one thing across this two-part feature, I want it to be that the mobile platform can't be ignored anymore.
There are a lot of really bad mobile games released, but a lot of really great ones, too. They aren't just great when compared to other mobile games, either - They're just great gaming experiences. Great mobile games are packed with fun and innovation, and all but the highest top tier titles carry a single-digit price tag, and are delivered to your phone in seconds.
Below, in no particular order, I've listed what I believe to be the absolute best examples of why mobile gaming has become a legitimate platform for hardcore gamers. That means no NES ports and no "casual" mobile titles, no matter how great they are. Hardcore gamers should trust that all the games below will live up to their high standards of length, fun-factor, and playability. But enough talk... on to the games!
