High School Story Tips And Strategies
Our first batch of tips for High School Story were so popular, we went back to school to bring you a second helping. This time, we talk about how to get specific types of people to your parties, as well as dating and other activities around campus.
Study up, because there will be a quiz later.
-As we've stated before, it takes time to complete certain items on your to-do list, anywhere from half an hour to an hour. There is a time lapse trick where you can set the time ahead on your device, but be careful with this. The game is aware of this tactic, and if you use it too often, you'll be penalized. A bunch of your students will end up in detention, and you'll lose opportunities to earn special students at parties. Sometimes it's best to just sit through the process.
-Gaining experience goes a long way in High School Story, both in your appearance and stature. As you gain levels, you'll change the appearance of your clothes to better attract students. You'll also gain access to upgrades for your classroom and admissions buildings, which you'll want to take. This provides additional books for learning purposes, and also lets you recruit even more students than before. It pays to be smart.
-When it comes to dating, it's a common belief that the more you date in high school, the more people you get to know. However, with High School Story, it helps to stick with the same person for a while. If couples go on repeated dates, they earn stars as a couple. Once they get to three, they'll become what's known as "Online Official," opening up the chance to earn more rings, coins and experience status. It takes a while - this is probably one of the biggest situations where people recommend the aforementioned time cheat - but well worth putting the time into. You know, like a real relationship.
-When it comes to attracting certain people for parties, it depends who you have there. If you're a nerd and want more nerds to come to your party, simply have two nerds already there, and more of that type will show up. The same goes with jocks and preps, if that's what you prefer.
-If you want other characters to join your party, mix things up a bit with two different types. Eventually, you'll unlock the artist by using general combinations. They're useful in attracting even more student types as you go along. Here's a mini-grid to show you how it works:
Cheerleader - Prep + Jock
Gamer- Nerd + Jock
Student Government- Nerd + Prep
Dancer- Jock + Artist
Filmmaker- Nerd + Artist
Actor- Prep + Artist
Homecoming- Cheerleader + Filmmaker
-When it comes to students who show up, you can't control gender, so if you're trying to form the ultimate Homecoming party, you'll have to wait a while to get both a king and queen, among other students. Just be patient, and you'll watch your party flourish.
