Trial Xtreme 3 Cheats And Tips
If you're new to the Trial Xtreme series then the third edition may have left you scratching your head a little. We published our review a little earlier on today, but if you're struggling with the game why not have a look through our top tips?
How can I improve my times in Trial Xtreme 3?

It's not all about speed when it comes to racking up a good time in Trial Xtreme. It's far more important to cleanly negotiate each obstacle, as being sent back to a checkpoint incurs penalties. Resist the temptation to move straight on to the next track, instead learn the courses very carefully and try to eke out a better performance on every attempt. See our notes below about changing the control scheme to make faster progress.
How do I clear a gap in Trial Xtreme 3?
Very often you'll encounter gaps in the course that seem impossible to clear. Don't forget to get a good run up, then use the jump option to get some extra distance. Use the jump button sparingly though, as too great a leap can leave you set up badly for an upcoming obstacle.
What are the differences between the bikes in Trial Xtreme 3?
Raw power and jumping ability are what separates one bike from another in the game. The bike you're given when you start out in Trial Xtreme 3 will get you through the early days, but if you really want to compete - particularly online - you'll want to upgrade to the Jumper as soon as possible. Here's a breakdown of each bike:
Classic
Jump: 6 / Power: 2500 / Cost: Free
The starter bike, all this is really good for in competition is grabbing as much money as possible so you can upgrade it!
Jumper
Jump: 7 / Power: 2650 / Cost: 50,000
As the name suggests, this bike will make you a good deal more agile on the track, allowing you to get better times - and more money.
Storm
Jump: 7.7 / Power 2700 / Cost: 200,000
Trial Xtreme 3's ultimate bike is the one you'll want to work towards if you're going to compete with the pros online. It's an expensive luxury, so if grinding's not your thing you'll have to head to the in-app purchase store.
How can I get more money in Trial Xtreme 3?

The better you perform on each track, the greater your rewards will be once you cross the finishing line. That means focusing on clean runs and quick times. If you need more money, you can always go back and grind out earlier levels, or pick up some coins from the in-app purchase store. Prices for coin packs vary by region, so check the costs of these carefully from your own device.
Alternatively, if you connect to the game via the Facebook icon, you'll get $200 deposited in the bank.
How do I unlock new stages in Trial Xtreme 3?
The free download only provides you with three tracks from each of the four stages. If you want to unlock new levels, you'll have to buy them from the in-app purchase store. You can buy each pack of levels separately, but you'll get a discount if you buy all four in one bundle.
How do I customize my bike and rider in Trial Xtreme 3?
If you've got in-game money burning a hole in your pocket, tap on either the T-shirt or bike icons from the main menu screen to enter the shop. Here you can add some cosmetic flair to your performances so you really stand out from the competition online.
How do I race against a ghost in Trial Xtreme 3?
Once you've selected a stage and level in the game, you'll be able to choose a ghost to race against - this can be either a Facebook friend, or a foe from the global leaderboards! Competitive racing is a great way to learn a course inside-out, but if you'd rather play without the distraction of a ghost you can always hit the Skip button to attempt the level solo.
How do I change the control scheme in Trial Xtreme 3?
By default, the game combines virtual buttons with gyroscopic controls. Unless you're particularly agile in real life, we think you'll want to change these! Head into the option screen and uncheck the box 'Use accelerometer'. Two steering buttons will be added to the overlay in your next race - and they allow you to be much more precise. You can also shrink or enlarge the size of the buttons from the same option screen.
How can I improve the performance of Trial Xtreme 3?

If you're running the latest Apple hardware, you should have no trouble enjoying the game at its prettiest, but those running older devices might want to head into the options screen and experiment with turning off shadows and effects. The slicker the game runs, the easier you'll find it to shave precious milliseconds from your best scores.
