We dish out much love for the original, grayscale Game Boy titles. Pics and descriptions of the top 15...
By now you've probably noticed we like to kick it oldschool, here at Modojo. Whether it's a comprehensive look back at the NEC Turbo Express hardware or the obscure TomyTronic hardware, when we say "we know handhelds," we aren't just talking about the GBA, DS, and PSP.
That's why we decided to heap some more love onto the original Game Boy. Our first look at the system focused mostly on the hardware itself, so this time we chose to highlight 15 grayscale warriors that have stood the test of time, and emerged as classics, despite appearing only in shades of gray.
We intentionally excluded Tetris (too easy), but are there any other titles we missed? Undoubtedly. Are the 15 games listed below awesome? Most assuredly. And that's what truly counts.
