  • Two 3" LCD screens, one incorporated with touch-screen technology
  • Built-in microphone for sound interactivity
  • Wireless capability built right in, allowing up to 16 players to take part in particular games or engage in chat sessions
  • 3D rendering engines allow for advance in game designs, making the games look more realistic than they ever have
  • 16-channel sound allows for full audio engulfment into a gaming experience, and a plug for headphones is available if you feel it shouldn't distract
  • A rechargable battery can be played for up to 12 hours straight, and the system can also be put into Sleep Mode if it is not in use
  • Processors: The system runs on two processors- an ARM9 and an ARM7
  • The games are made on compact cards, which allow for better memory capacity than previous games and also helps developers out with smaller costs and manufacturing time
  • The Nintendo DS also has a separate slot so you can plug in Game Boy Advance games for backward capability
