Mastiff announced today that they will be publishing Major League Eating: The Game for multiple systems.
With quirky games like Gurumin and La Pucelle: Tactics under their belts, Mastiff seems destined for this one-of-a-kind license.
"Major League Eaters aren't just elite athletes," says Bill Swartz, Head Woof at Mastiff. "They are the people who built America. Or at least the competitive eating part of America. And I am deeply honored that the International Federation of Competitive Eating and Major League Eating choose Mastiff as their exclusive videogame partner."
If you thought Major League Eating: The Game will be another mini-game compilation, you thought wrong. The game will be built like a fighting game with both defensive moves such as burping, belching and stomach-saving techniques.
No release date has been announced for Major League Eating: The Game but I think it will probably show up around the Super Bowl of competitive eating: Nathan's Famous 4th of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest.
