Sega and Glu Extend Partnership

Glu Mobile announced today that its partnership with Sega Europe to develop and publish mobile games based on Sega properties has been extended. Details of the extension were not given, beyond listing three more Sega properties that would be receiving mobile ports.
Rumors have circulated for months that the Sega relationship, which Glu inherited when it acquired UK mobile game publisher iFone, would not be renewed past its original terms. The announcement that Glu would also be bringing Sega properties Football Manager Quiz, Total War and Wonderboy to mobile likely serves primarily to quiet these rumors, as no longer-term Sega/Glu plans were announced.
"Glu has demonstrated a great ability to deliver quality games for mobile that meet the needs of both SEGA, and more importantly, gamers on the go," Alan Pritchard, UK Managing Director, SEGA Europe Ltd said in a statement. "With this in mind we are happy to be extending our agreement with Glu by working on a further four titles together."
The first fruit of this new agreement, Football Manager 2007, is slated for release across UK handsets in late Spring.
