Job Description Job Responsibilities: -Creative; in designing and developing 2D pixel art and animated sprites for mobile games. -Versatile; comfortable and capable of visualizing and working in a broad range of styles and themes. -Efficient; capable of creating effective graphics within the constraints of the mobile platform. -Motivated; eager to take ownership, and provide graphical expertise and polish to the game assigned. -Team player; capable of collaborating with the art director, programmers and production staff to produce top quality game graphics. -Graphic design abilities; as they pertain to menus and user interfaces is expected. Minimum Qualifications: -A minimum of 2 years' art experience in mobile or handheld games (GBA, etc.) is preferred. -Previous experience developing art for older 2D game systems and PC (80's - 90's) is a plus. -BFA in digital art a plus, but not required. Skills: -2D drawing and animation experience, as it pertains to 2D sprites and tilesets for mobile or handheld games or applications is preferred. -Good layout and graphic design skills with type or other graphical elements is helpful. -Strong 2D drawing skills, reflecting a solid expertise with drawing people and environments, in digital and traditional media is helpful. Software knowledge: -Photoshop (6.0 or up) experience is required. -Debabelizer (4.5 or up) is preferred. -ProMotion, D-Paint or other 2D pixel drawing and animation programs encouraged -3Ds Max experience a plus.
